Marta Roverato

Marta Roverato was Born in Padua, Italy. At the age of five years began to study ballet with Valentina Massini and Mihaela Craciunescu, prima ballerinas of the Bucharest Opera. Studying also modern dance with Laura Pulín .
During 1992 she moved to Germany and got into the Academy of Classical and Contemporary Dance Palucca Schule in Dresden.(first flamenco classes with Brigitta Luisa Merki)
She was been selected to participate in a workshop and performance with contemporary dance choreographer Fabrizio Monteverde (1998-1999) in Treviso.
In that time began to study flamenco in Madrid at the Academia Amor de Dios, in Seville and Jerez de la Frontera, with La Chiqui, Belén Maya, Rafaela Carrasco, Joaquín Grilo, Israel Galván, Javier Latorre, Mercedes Ruiz, Manuel Liñan, Concha Jareño, Domingo Ortega, Angel Atienza …

Professional and artistic career
1994-1995 She dances in the Ballet company in the theater “Ivan Zajc” in Rijeka, Croatia, also as a soloist in “Don Quixote,” “Swan Lake” and “Mediterranea”, the latter with the modern choreography by Thierry Parmentier.
1996-1997 chorus in touristic resorts in Turkey and Greece.
1996-1999 she dances in Italy with the contemporary dance company “Officina Danza” with whom is involved in several dance competitions and festivals in Italy and France, receiving the 1st prize in Reggio Emilia (1996) and the 2nd in Perugia (1998).
1999- 2001, she toured the whole Japan with the company “Alboreá” of Mara Terzi, dancing in the best theaters in Tokyo, Osaka, Kobe, etc. Slovenia, Svizzera, Italia. Teatro Donizetti di Bergamo, with soloist Miguel Angel Espino.
2002-2003 collaborations with Mimbrales Company
2004-2011 she works with the Tanzcompanie “Flamencos en route” as assistant choreographer and dancer in the show “Caprichos Flamenco” with the choreographer Joaquin Ruiz .
2005-2006, she danced in “ El Circulo Magico” with the famous singer Carmen Linares.
Tours in Switzerland, Germany, Egypt and Turkey
2004/2008 She has been invited in the Opera “Carmen” and “La Traviata” as soloist at the Festival of Avenches (Switzerland)
2006 Tour in Italy with the Company “El Amor Brujo.”. Tour in Italy with the Ballet Flamenco José Greco .
2009-2011 Tour in Italy with the flamenco company of José Moro as soloist in “Don Quijote el soñador” and “Carmen”, directed by Maestro Giuseppe Carbone. Among various places: Festival di Vignale, La Versiliana, Teatro Coccia di Novara, Teatro Sociale di Mantova, Teatro Alighieri di Ravenna, Taormina Arte Teatro Greco.
Since 2007 she teaches flamenco in various workshops and dance academies in Italy and Switzerland and she collaborates with the Department of Culture in Padua, with various guest artists such as: Eloy Aguilar, José Merino, Ricardo Moro, Rubén Molina.
In 2012 she founds Duendarte: cultural foundation in Padua, (Italy) for development of flamenco, by organizing courses, workshops, performances, participating with own production: “La Cocina de Cervantes”, “Il mito di Cerere” , “Recuerdos de un Cantaor”, “Tiempo”, Gran Gala Flamenco, in various festival. Some guest artists: Nieves Hidalgo, Jorge Rodriguez, Eloy Aguilar, Rubén Molina, José Merino, Belén Maya, Rafaela Carrasco

2017 “La Cocina de Cervantes” guest artist José Merino. Stage in Paris (Institut Flamenco Paris). Noche Flamenca with guest artists: Ruben Molina (baile) Juan Debel (cante).
